GEOTERRAIMAGE becomes a VERRA-approved service provider for the collection of deforestation data

GEOTERRAIMAGE is proud to announce that the company has been included on a roster of global organizations qualified to collect jurisdictional deforestation data for allocation to VCS (Verified Carbon Standard) projects.

GEOTERRAIMAGE and The Cirrus Group are honoured to be selected as a team for the internationally accredited carbon biomass mapping to support VERRA. Together we provide data analytics to monitor existing deforestation, forest degradation, and the progress of global reforestation.

The satellite-derived geospatial data of measurable vegetation cover estimates are ideally suited to quantifying forest cover changes in support of the with the Consolidated REDD (Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation) Methodology.

REDD+ projects reduce emissions from deforestation and forest degradation and also provide sustainable management of forests and conservation and enhancement of forest carbon stocks.
